Weekly Update 15th July

Good day everyone

Good news, there is no snow in Ohope yet…. although it has been a bit chilly elsewhere, some great winter sport action to be had at the Whakapapa Ski Fields, check out https://www.mtruapehu.com/ for more info.

We had the 8 Ball pairs Club Champs on last Sunday, 11 pairs contested the this event. Each pair had a minimum of 4 matches, most of which were well contested. 3 of the semi-final spots were clear cut, the 4th was on a countback.
Semi-finals:

• Richard Holder/Darrin Hannah beat Graeme Lee/Ted Koia 3-2

• Shane Graeff/Paul Graeff beat Richard Otley/Don Carlton 3-0

Final:

• Shane/Paul beat Richard/Darrin 3-2

A great day of 8 ball was had by all. Next is the 8 ball singles on Sunday 23 August, no excuses in the singles comp, its all down to you!

We have our 'Welcome back' gig on Sunday 26th, this is just a wee get together to celebrate being back open, and to have a social afternoon of entertainment by Aňavah and Reuben Duo who are all about entertaining the audience. There will be some  nibbles and good banter to be had.  We all look forward to seeing you then, $10 on the door to help cover your first drink and the entertainment, family friendly, so round up the troops.
