Ohope Chartered Club Newsletter 2nd April 2020

Hello members and friends,
It’s an especially strange feeling as I write this update; My first official day was yesterday, 1st of April
and as we find ourselves in week two of self-isolation, I do get the feeling that our community is
rallying together to support each other, share advice and guidance and plan for the future.
Whilst our lovely Club is closed, I can let you know that Donna, the Team & I are bursting with ideas
and inspiration and are taking this time to plan not only a dazzling opening day/week party, but the
rejuvenation of C’vue, the Club and some of the activities and services that have been unchanged
over the years....more to come over the next few weeks.
Whilst we are busy, we thought we would try and help you get through this period with some
suggestion on how to pass the time:

1. Keep the blood flowing and stop the joints from going stiff with a
walk around the block or along the beach, or work up a sweat with
Les Mills x TVNZ workouts for both adults and kids.

2.Travel the world from your couch! Check out famous landmarks,
museums and zoos, cross off some items on your bucket list all
without leaving your home.

3.On your marks, get set, GO! Sports may be off, but marble racing is
on! Strangely addictive viewing for sports fans in need of their
sporting fix.

4.Flour is the hottest product on the shelves! If you’ve got some why
not dust of your recipe books and rediscover your inner baker.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we are committed to doing whatever we can to help
support the community as we work through these challenging times together. Please let us know if
we can help in any way.

All the best and stay safe,
Colin, Donna & the team
