Sport & Games
Come down for a leisurely game of snooker or a challenging game of 8 ball. Try your hand at darts or cards, or try your luck at housie. Card games are hosted each Tuesday, Quiz night on Wednesday, pool competitions on Thursday, and housie takes place every other Friday.
Functions
From small corporate, family and member gatherings to large buffet lunches and dinners with a variety of dining options. We have finger food, buffet and set menu options dependent on the size and preferences of your party.
Shuttle Bus
Our Shuttle Service is available Thursday through to Saturday, from 4.00pm until when the bar closes. Call our direct dial number 0800 005 008 and one of our drivers will be able to assist you with your needs.
Gaming - TAB
The Club has a licensed gaming room with 16 machines for the entertainment of our members and guests. We operate the latest jackpot system, some of the latest games as well as the old favorites.
We also have a self service TAB pod so you have no need to go into Whakatane for your betting needs
Off-license
The Ohope Chartered Club offers off-license sales of alcohol to all its members. Alcohol for takeaway purpose is sold at the right hand side of our bar.

Family Room
We have a separate area, set aside from the Club, offering a relaxed space for friends and families to come and relax over a beer or wine. We have a little ‘uns friendly menu and something simple and delicious for you too, so no matter what the day, you can come down, relax and let the kids play.
Membership
The Ohope Chartered Club is a social sports and recreation club for locals and their guests and is a member of the Clubs of New Zealand nationwide network of private members clubs.
Clubs of New Zealand incorporates over 380 clubs such as Workingmens' clubs, R.S.A clubs and Chartered clubs. Club members are able to visit affiliated clubs throughout New Zealand and Australia. Visiting members of these clubs are welcome.

Members of the Ohope Chartered Club enjoy top class facilities conveniently located at the beach. New members are most welcome. If you are new to Ohope or interested in a personal introduction to the club you can contact the club for membership assistance or an application form.
Join the Ohope Chartered Club:
Full membership: $70.00 per person 1st April to 31st March annually.
Junior membership: $10.00 per child 10 years to 18 years of age.
Student membership: $25 per annum for adults 18+ enrolled in full time study. Proof of enrolment must accompany application.

Members and Guests attendance rules
These attendance rules apply to those present on the premises for the consumption of liquor.
All persons unless a financial member of the Ohope Chartered Club must be:
A guest of a member (also non financial spouse) must be signed in the visitors book and accompanied by that member for the duration of their attendance. The member is totally responsible for their guests and it is expected that should any breach of club policy or protocol occur then the member associated with that guest will be held accountable for their actions.
Financial members of clubs with an agreed reciprocal visiting arrangement such as those of the Clubs New Zealand group may use the club and its facilities. These guests must sign in the guest register along with any person accompanying them and make themselves known to the staff on duty. Affiliated members must abide by usual moral conduct and respect the policy and protocols of the Ohope Chartered Club. Any indiscretions may result in removal from the club and disclosure of events to their own club.
No person, be they a member of an affiliated Club or otherwise shall become a regular or frequent visitor.
